Wine Find

2003 Handley Pinot Noir, Mendocino County ($16)

For a mid-priced California pinot noir, this wine does a pretty decent impression of a $50 Burgundy. It offers very pure pinot fruit with a lot of flavor intensity. There's good acidity in the finish and no sign of harshness, heat or green vegetables. This wine is silky-smooth and ready to drink with a wide range of foods from salmon to steak.

Serve with --roast poultry, tuna steak
