Two one-alarm fires in Baltimore sent three people, including a firefighter, to hospitals yesterday, fire officials reported.

One blaze erupted just before 6 p.m. Firefighters were sent to a two-story rowhouse in the 2200 block of W. Baltimore St. and rescued one person from a window, said Chief Kevin Cartwright, a spokesman. A second person was found unconscious on the second floor.

Cartwright said the victims weren't immediately identified.

Another blaze was reported about 1 p.m. in the 3000 block of Janice Ave. in Southwest Baltimore. Firefighters found a rowhouse in flames. The fire spread to another home before being brought under control.

One firefighter was treated and released at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for a minor burn, Cartwright said.
