Cedarhurst Unitarian Universalist Church in Finksburg sponsors a nonprofit Tai Chi Study Group, made up of tai chi and qigong students of Frances Lea Gander.
The group meets from 6:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Mondays at the church, 2912 Club House Road.
Gander's senior students lead practice and continuing instruction in qigong and tai chi.
New and experienced students are welcome. A $5 donation per class is requested.

Senior activities announced for Dec.
Westminster Senior Center has announced activities for this month.
Senior Nature Club will meet at 2 p.m. Wednesday for a nature film.
A nutrition talk will be given at 9:30 a.m. Thursday on "Overcoming Binge Eating."
The annual Christmas party will be held Dec. 21. A turkey dinner will be served, catered by Kountry Kafe. The Goldenaires will perform afterward. Lunch reservations are required by Dec. 15.

Key clubs to sponsor middle school dance
The Westminster High School and Winters Mill High School Key clubs will sponsor a dance for pupils attending East and West Middle schools from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the Westminster fire hall on John Street.
Proceeds will benefit the Children's Miracle Network.

Blood drive Dec. 14 at city family center
The Westminster City Recreation Department's Family Center will hold a Red Cross blood drive from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 14 at 11 Longwell Ave.

Christmas Camp offers games, sports
Westminster City Recreation Department will hold a Christmas Camp for children ages 6 to 11 Dec. 27 to 30 at the Family Center, 11 Longwell Ave.
The camp will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with before-care at 7 a.m. and after-care to 6 p.m.
Children will enjoy games, crafts and sports. The cost is $20 per day.
Children should take a bag lunch and drink and be dressed to play. Snacks will be provided. Registration is required.

The Sierra Club Catoctin Group will show the film Affluenza at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday. The documentary is about the American obsession with economic growth and consumption and the impact on families, the environment and values. Information: 410-876-2182.
