WILLIAM JOSEPH KIMMEL, JR., 90, of Ocean Pines and formerly of Baltimore, Timonium, and Salisbury, MD, died Sunday, November 27, 2005 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born March 3, 1915 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late William Joseph Kimmel, Sr. and Gladys Adele Bailey Kimmel. Following graduation from Loyola High School in Baltimore, he attended Loyola College and then joined the Army, serving in the Western Pacific during World War II. After returning to Baltimore, he graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 1952. He was employed at Crown Cork and Seal Company and the Slaysman Company, from which he retired as Vice President of Finance in 1984. Bill is survived by his daughter Bonnie K. Houston and her husband Jesse of Ocean City; his son William J. Kimmel, III, and his wife Sandra of Bedford, NY; grandchildren Lisa De Haven and her husband Cory of Lehighton, PA; Jamie Houston of Salisbury, MD; Kevin Kimmel of New York, NY; Brad Kimmel of Atlanta, GA; and Wesley Kimmel of New York, NY. He was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Shirley Jones Kimmel. The family will be having a private funeral in Timonium. Arrangements are in care of Holloway Funeral Home of Salisbury, MD.
