Annapolis officials are turning their attention toward rebuilding quickly from a five-alarm blaze that raced through three businesses Friday night in the city's downtown historic district. As firefighters continue to try to pinpoint a cause, city officials are vowing to get as much rebuilt as possible by May, when a historic preservation organization is to hold a conference in the city. The fire destroyed the middle building, which was built in 1940 and housed Zachary's Exquisite Jewelry, which is to reopen Friday at the base of the hill. The buildings on each side of it are salvageable.
