Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Assault -- A 43-year-old man told police he was asleep in his home in the 2000 block of Westwood Ave. about 11 p.m. Saturday when he was attacked and struck several times with a metal pipe by a man he recognized. The victim was treated at Bon Secours Hospital and advised to seek a warrant for the assailant's arrest.

Burglary -- Someone entered a vacant house in the 1900 block of N. Payson St. through a basement door over the weekend and removed a stove and two 24-foot ladders - all valued at $900.


Burglary -- An air conditioner and an aquarium were stolen Saturday from a house in the 3000 block of Seamon Ave. by someone who entered through a basement window. The loss was put at more than $2,000.

Burglary -- Someone entered a house in the 2500 block of Southdene Ave. through a door Saturday and stole a purse containing more than $100.


Theft -- A handicap placard was stolen Saturday from a 1998 Pontiac Grand Am parked in the 1200 block of E. Monument St.

Baltimore County


Robbery -- A deliveryman for Today's Pizza was approaching a house in the 900 block of Masefield Road about 8 p.m. Saturday when two young males, one armed with a knife, walked out from behind bushes and robbed him of $200 and a cell phone valued at $150.


Burglary -- An inflatable snowman valued at $200 was stolen from the front yard of a house in the 2000 block of Cranbourne Road between Friday night and Saturday morning.
