Roch Around The Clock

November 27, 2005|By ROCH KUBATKO

Sorry to hear that the Ravens' Jamal Lewis is upset about sharing the ball with Chester Taylor. He doesn't seem to have a problem sharing the ball with the opposing team. Here's a thought: Stop tiptoeing into the line and playing like you're afraid of getting hurt in your contract year, and Taylor will go back to being a third-down back.

Lewis has this contract thing all wrong. This is the time you're supposed to put up huge numbers. Just ask Javy Lopez. His 43-homer season in Atlanta got him a $22.5 million deal with the Orioles. He'll be a free agent after the 2006 season. Wanna bet how many he hits next year?
