St. Mary's men top McDaniel

Sophomore guard Tyson Lesesne posted game highs with 28 points and 12 rebounds to lead St. Mary's to a 96-85 men's non-conference victory over McDaniel College last night.

T.J. Jordan added 19 points for the Seahawks (2-1), and Mike Dipiero scored 16 points with a game-high eight assists for the Green Terror (2-2).

FROSTBURG STATE 79, WAYNESBURG 64 - Brian Green scored 18 points for the host Bobcats (3-1).

SALISBURY 89, WASHINGTON COLLEGE 74 - Justin Rice scored a game-high 25 points off the bench for the visiting Sea gulls (2-2). The Shoremen fell to 1-3.

Women

Bucknell 54, Coppin State 48 -- Kesha Champion made two free throws with 34 seconds left to lift the host Bison (1-2) over the Eagles, who are 0-2 for the first time in five seasons.

McDaniel 80, York 68 -- Sara Franz (Seton Keough) scored 20 points to lead the host Green Terror (2-1) past the Spartans (2-1).

St. Mary's 55, Villa Julie 43 -- Megan Uglik had a game-high 13 to lift the visiting Seahawks (2-0) past the Mustangs (2-1).
