Abigail McNair, South River

GIRLS

STATS -- McNair, a junior attack, led the Seahawks (16-3-1) in scoring with 21 goals and two assists, as they repeated as Class 4A state champions. McNair had a goal and an assist in the 3-0 win over Springbrook in the final. "Abigail is a very quiet leader, is very unselfish and has marvelous dribbling skills," first-year South River coach Katie Corcoran said. "She can definitely play at the next level."

SIDELINES -- McNair has a 4.25 grade point average and is a member of the National Honor Society, the National Arts Honor Society and the Edgewater school's Success Team, which promotes diversity and multi-cultural activities. McNair, who has a yellow labrador retriever, loves animals and art and hopes to combine both in her future endeavors. She wants to play field hockey in college.
