Board of Zoning Appeals -- The hearing examiner will hear Case BA05-003S (DMS Sign Connection Inc.) at 4 p.m. in the Ellicott Room, George Howard Building, 3430 Court House Drive, Ellicott City.

Social Services Executive Board -- Will meet at 4 p.m. at the Department of Social Services, 7121 Gateway Drive, Columbia.

County Council -- Will hold a public hearing on legislation introduced Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Banneker Room, George Howard Building.

Tuesday

Soil Conservation District Board -- Will meet at 8 a.m. in the district office, 708 Lisbon Center Drive, Woodbine.

Local Emergency Planning Committee -- Will meet at 10:30 a.m. Location: 410-313-6037.

Zoning Board -- Will hear Case ZB1042M (Cherrytree Park LLC & Brantly Dev. Group) at 6:30 p.m. in the Banneker Room, George Howard Building.

Board of Health -- Will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Health Department, 7178 Columbia Gateway Drive, Columbia.

Board of Zoning Appeals -- The hearing examiner will hear Case BA05-023C (Mount Pisgah African Methodist Episcopal Church), continued, at 6:30 p.m. in the Ellicott Room, George Howard Building.

Public Transportation Board -- Will meet at 7 p.m. in the Police Department Community Room, 3410 Court House Drive, Ellicott City.

Thursday

Thanksgiving Day -- County offices, courts, libraries, the animal shelter and landfill are closed. Thursday trash routes will be collected Friday; Thursday recycling routes will be picked up Dec. 1. Parking meters will be free on Thanksgiving Day. Police, fire and 911 are always open. Nonemergencies: 410-313-2200.
