LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The top-seeded Maryland field hockey team never trailed in its NCAA tournament semifinal claiming a 3-2 victory over No. 4 Old Dominion at Trager Stadium.
The Terps (22-2) will face Duke (18-4) for the NCAA championship on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on CSTV.
Duke beat fellow Atlantic Coast Conference rival Wake Forest 3-2.
The Terps attacked early and often attempting 17 shots in the game, eight in the first half. The defense was even better, limiting the Lady Monarchs (19-6) to just six shots for the game.
Paula Infante led the Terps' offense with one goal and one assist.
