Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Rape -- A woman in her mid-40s was walking in the 2200 block of Ramsay St. about 6 a.m. Tuesday when a man armed with a handgun forced her into an alley and raped her. After the man fled, the woman was taken by ambulance to Bon Secours Hospital, where she was treated for injuries and released.

Assault -- Police were seeking several young females who attacked a 17-year-old girl in the 400 block of Carrollton Ave. about 9 p.m. Tuesday. The victim was struck on the head with a crowbar but refused medical treatment.


Robbery -- A knife-wielding man robbed a 25-year-old man of a laptop computer while the victim walked in the 300 block of Suffolk Road about 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Robbery -- Two men, one armed with a knife, robbed the Wendy's in the 5600 block of York Road about 8 p.m. Tuesday of an undisclosed sum of money. The pair also stole a jar containing money for a charity.

Baltimore County


Robbery try/arrest -- A 24-year-old woman was seated in her car in the 700 block of Templecliff Road about 1 a.m. Monday when a man demanded her purse. Instead of complying, she sounded the car's horn, and the man fled. Arrested a short time later nearby on Judy Lane and charged with attempted robbery was Michael C. Shields, 38, of the 4200 block of Fowler Ave. in Perry Hall.


Burglary -- Household appliances valued at nearly $13,000 were stolen from a garage in the 600 block of Oakden Road between Friday and Monday.
