Meet `The Wire' cast

The lowdown -- HBO and The Wire sponsor an event at Little Havana Restaurante y Cantina Cubana tonight. Stars of the Baltimore-based crime drama will bartend, and proceeds and tips benefit the Ella Thompson Fund of the Parks and People Foundation, which raises money for children in Baltimore.

Satyr Hill CD

The lowdown -- The Satyr Hill Band will perform at the St. John's United Methodist Church of Hamilton tomorrow. This bluegrass group has Judd "Hawk" Hawkins on fiddle, Rick Miller on guitar, Chaz Smith on mandolin, Tom Reeves on bass and Keith Harrison on banjo. At tomorrow's concert, the band will release Dead on the Scene Revival, a CD recorded at the Cellar Stage.

Punks on tour

The lowdown -- Ted Leo and the Pharmacists are stopping by Baltimore on their national tour on Tuesday. The punk group will headline at the Ottobar with opening acts Brandon L. Butler and the Vaqueros and Askeleton.
