Stine, Harry Thomas

November 13, 2005

March 31, 1915- October 6, 2005, HARRY THOMAS STINE passed away of natural causes on Thursday October 6, 2005 in the Charlestown Retirement Community. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Robert Stine and Virginia Nicoll his seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. After retiring from Hanover Shoes in 1975 he spent most of his time with his wife of 64 years, Adele Tanner, who passed in June of 2004. "Tommy" loved working in the garden and was an avid fisherman, spending most of his life on the Chesapeake Bay and surrounding Rivers. Many people remember Tommy for his dry sense of humor and his never-ending repertoire of pranks. Others may remember him from the Nicoll Christmas Tree Lot on Stevenson Lane in Baltimore County. This is where he spent every December from the late 1970's to 2002 with Jeff Nicoll, his son in law. A private service will be held on the Chesapeake Bay outside of Annapolis, Maryland.
