Social Services board -- The board of directors of the county Department of Social Services will meet at 8 a.m. in Room 138 at 10 Distillery Drive, Suite 100, Westminster. 410-386-3307.

Carroll County Planning and Zoning Commission -- Meeting from 9 a.m. to noon and at 1:30 p.m. in Room 003/004 of the County Office Building, 225 N. Center St., Westminster. The morning agenda includes election of officers, reports, and review and recommendation of proposed amendments to the development and subdivision of land; site plan reviews of Seventh Day Adventist Church on Crest Lane and Gerstell Academy athletic facility; and concept plan reviews of Jesse Anne Estates on Lowman Lane, Nells Acres on Liberty Road, Arnold property on Route 140, Main Street Eldersburg on Londontowne Boulevard, Carroll Hospital Center operating room expansion and Uniontown Bible Church on Watson Lane. Carroll County commissioners -- will hold a public workshop at 7 p.m. in Room 003 of the County Office Building on a proposal to allow the clustering and transferring of lot yield across certain zoning lines. WEDNESDAY

Carroll County Historic Preservation Commission -- 6:30 p.m. open meeting in Room 003 of the County Office Building. The agenda includes an application to build a two-story colonial on Middleburg Road, proposals for the Uniontown School, election of officers and budget requests for 2007. 410-386-2094.

Carroll County commissioners -- 10 a.m. meeting in a roundtable discussion and 1:30 p.m. in open session in Room 300 of the County Office Building.
