CCC offers classes on starting business

Carroll Community College offers classes for anyone who wants to start their own business.

Classes offer help from financing, marketing and business plans to legal considerations and valuable resource information.

Courses being offered this fall include:

Keys to Starting a Successful Home-Based Business: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday; $65, and $40 for seniors.

Starting a Pet Sitting Business: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 3; $65, and $40 for seniors.

Legal Issues Facing Small Business Owners: 6:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. Wednesdays, Dec. 1 to 15, Entrepreneur Factory, Sykesville; $79, and $35 for seniors.

How to Start Your Own Consulting Business: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 10; $65, and $40 for seniors.

Microsoft Office training available

Carroll Community College is offering one-day Microsoft Office computer training sessions that are designed for the business community or anyone who needs a refresher.

The $185 tuition ($70 for seniors) for each course includes text, continental breakfast and boxed lunch.

All classes are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Business Training Center Room T319. Classes include:

Word Level 2, Nov. 18; and Word Level 3, Nov. 19 or Dec. 1.

Excel Level 2, Dec. 8; and Excel Level 3, Dec. 3 or Dec. 13.

Access Level 1, Dec. 3.
