Toastmasters -- The Gunpowder Toastmasters Club, which meets on the first and third Mondays of each month, will meet at 11:40 a.m. in the Gunpowder Club at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Edgewood. Music -- Cecil Community College's Elkton Station Gallery will present "Music at Noon" across the lobby from the gallery. Guests are encouraged to bring lunch.

Help for kids -- Court Appointed Special Advocates of Harford County, a group that helps abused and neglected children in court, will hold an open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 31 W. Courtland St., Bel Air. The event will include items for sale by vendors including Tastefully Simple and Premier Jewelry. Proceeds will benefit the organization and the children it serves. Dining with Docs -- Upper Chesapeake Health will hold a dinner and lecture, "What in the World is Wrong with Me? How Various Faiths View Illness and Healing," at 5:30 p.m. in the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center's Chesapeake Conference Center. The event will be led by the Rev. Nick McDonald. Friday`Beauty and the Beast' -- The Tidewater Players' production of Beauty and the Beast will open Friday and continue through Dec. 11 at the Opera Hall, 121 N. Union Ave., Havre de Grace. Blanket drive -- Participants in Project Linus, an initiative to make blankets for children to donate to hospitals and other health care facilities, will meet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Ignatius Church, 533 E.
