Monday music -- McDaniel College will present a free Monday Night Music series at 7 p.m. in McDaniel Lounge. David Kreider and Company will perform "Music of the Last Century." Lunch talk -- The Historical Society of Carroll County will sponsor a box-lunch talk at noon at the American Legion Post on East Green Street, Westminster. Mary Ann Ashcraft will discuss "Mary Shellman's Old War Stories," her interest in the Civil War, her recollections of events she witnessed, patriotic poetry, support for local veterans and involvement in veterans' organizations. Gardening lecture -- Carroll County Master Gardeners will present a gardening lecture at 7:30 p.m. at the Carroll County Agricultural Center, Smith Avenue, Westminster. Mistletoe Mart -- Ascension Episcopal Church will hold its 22nd annual Mistletoe Mart from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday inside the church buildings at 23 N. Court St., Westminster. The event features 50 juried craft vendors and unusual gift shops, a cafe, tea room and country store. Admission is $4, and $1 for children younger than 12. 410-848-3251.

Health seminar -- Carroll Lutheran Village will present a free community outreach seminar at 7:30 p.m. in Krug Chapel Auditorium on the campus off Route 31 on Old New Windsor Pike. Howard Stevens, financial management professional, will discuss "Make the Most of Growing Older Gracefully." Christmas market -- Carroll County Christmas Farmers' Market and Craft Show will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Carroll County Agricultural Center on Smith Avenue, Westminster. Holiday arts and crafts, flowers and plants, gifts, decorations and ornaments, baked goods and fresh produce will be featured. The Carroll County Artist Guild will hold an art show and sale. Benefit comedy -- The Arc of Carroll County will present the Capitol Steps in an evening of comedy and music at 7:30 p.m. at Winters Mill High School, 560 Gorsuch Road, Westminster. The Capitol Steps is a group of Congressional staffers-turned-comedians who satirize their previous employers and where they used to work.
