Sanjay S.P. Shetty, 38, self-employed housekeeper

Sanjay Simon Peter Shetty, a self-employed housekeeper, died Oct. 29 at Sinai Hospital of injuries he suffered when struck by an automobile. The Lutherville resident was 38.

Mr. Shetty was walking across Bosley Avenue at York Road when he was struck by a car whose operator, Charles Kirk Jr., 48, of Fort Washington was charged with driving while intoxicated, Baltimore County police said.

Mr. Shetty was born in Manchester, England, and came to Roland Park with his family in 1970. He lived in Riderwood from 1978 to 1990, and was a Towson High School graduate.

Mr. Shetty had worked in recent years as a housekeeper, and enjoyed shopping and attending antique shows.

He was a communicant of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 103 Church Lane, Cockeysville, where a funeral Mass will be offered at 11 a.m. today.

Mr. Shetty is survived by his parents, Dr. Yeshvant K. Shetty, a retired Baltimore surgeon, and Patricia Shetty of Lutherville; a brother, Alex Shetty of Lutherville; a sister, Asha Shetty of Towson; and a nephew.
