Man found fatally wounded

Homicide detectives are investigating the killing of an unidentified man found lying in a Southwest Baltimore street early yesterday, bleeding from puncture wounds, city police reported. Southwestern District officers responding to a report at 3:10 a.m. of an injured man found the victim in the 2100 block of Frederick Ave., near South Smallwood Street, and he died less than an hour later at Maryland Shock Trauma Center, said Officer Nicole Monroe, a police spokeswoman. Police said fingerprints were taken in an effort to identify the victim, and Metro Crime Stoppers at 866-7LOCKUP is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment.

Boy, 4, abducted, then found

An Amber Alert was issued last night for a 4-year-old boy abducted by three armed men. The alert was canceled two hours later, when the child was found near his Randallstown home, Baltimore County police said. His abductors were being sought. Michael Lee Benjamin was walking with his mother near their apartment complex about 8:50 p.m. when the men abducted the child and rode off in a Ford Contour, police said. The boy was found unhurt about 10:30 p.m., police said.
