Slow-cooked, tasty barbecue

RECIPE FINDER

November 02, 2005|By JULIE ROTHMAN | JULIE ROTHMAN,SPECIAL TO THE SUN

Joan Lawless from Pikesville lost her recipe for beef barbecue that was prepared in a slow cooker. It was made with chuck roast that was shredded after it was cooked and had Coca-Cola and other ingredients in the sauce.

Elizabeth Wilson from Spearfish, S.D., sent in a recipe for barbecued roast made with a can of cola. This is a wonderful recipe and a snap to make even if you don't own a slow cooker. In fact, I made mine in a tightly sealed casserole in a slow oven. I let it cook about six hours at 250 degrees.
