Breastfeeding group -- A breastfeeding group will meet from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Family Birthplace, Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. Registration is not required. 800-515-0044.

Maternity ward -- Upper Chesapeake Medical Center will offer a maternity unit tour from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Nov. 15. 800-515-0044.

Perinatal bereavement -- Upper Chesapeake Medical Center will offer a support group for parents who have experienced the loss of an infant, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. 800-515-0044.

Infant CPR -- Upper Chesapeake Medical Center's Family Birthplace will hold an infant CPR class from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 20. 800-515-0044.

Assistance

Screenings

Blood pressure -- Screenings will be offered from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Klein's Supermarket in Beard's Hill Plaza; and 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Bel Air Senior Center and Thursday at Aberdeen Senior Center.

Vision -- Screenings for visual acuity, glaucoma, cataracts and diabetic retinopathy will be offered from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 16 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. Registration is required. Susan Taylor, 800-248-1980.

Varicose veins -- Upper Chesapeake Cardiovascular Institute and Vascular Surgery Associates will offer free varicose vein screenings from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Upper Chesapeake Surgical Pavilion at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. Registration is required. 800-515-0044.

Colorectal cancer -- The Harford County Health Department will provide residents who meet program guidelines with free colonoscopies. 443-643-0350.

Breast and cervical cancer -- The Harford County Health Department provides free mammograms and gynecological screenings for women ages 40 to 64 who meet income requirements and are uninsured or underinsured. 443-643-0350.

Hearing -- Free monthly screenings for patients ages 5 and older are provided the first Tuesday of each month at Susquehanna ENT, 615 MacPhail Road, Bel Air, Suite 205, and at the offices of Gehris, Jordan and Associates, 520 Upper Chesapeake Drive, Suite 206, Bel Air. Discounted screenings -- HealthLink Community Wellness Center, a service of Upper Chesapeake Health, offers cholesterol screenings for $10, osteoporosis screenings for $15 and a full cardiac risk assessment for $20 (all cash only). Blood pressure and body composition are checked at no cost. Hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays and noon to 4 p.m. Thursdays. 800-515-0044.
