An Odenton man has been charged in an incident in which one man was shot and his girlfriend was injured during a fight Thursday night in a parking lot outside Marley Station Mall, Anne Arundel County authorities said.
Kevin Vy Hoang of the 1200 block of Odenton Road was being held yesterday on a $744,000 bond.
According to police, Minh Phuong Ngoc Vong, 21, of Glen Burnie and his girlfriend, Kim Le Hoan, 21, of Bowie were walking to their car about 9:15 p.m. when a sport utility vehicle pulled up and two women got out and began attacking Hoan. While the three women fought, a man got out of the SUV and began hitting Vong, then shot him three times. Vong was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was treated and released.
