Branches, office to be closed today

All branches and the headquarters of the Anne Arundel County Public Library will be closed today for a staff meeting.

Patrons can access their accounts, renew items and reserve materials online at Account information can also be accessed via phone at 410-222-4444 or 301-970-2131.

All branches will reopen tomorrow.

Odenton, Bowie: MARC

Delays expected over 4 weeks

MARC riders who use the Penn Line should expect delays of about 10 minutes for the next four weeks as Amtrak performs maintenance between the Odenton and Bowie State stations.

Work on the MARC line is expected to last through Nov. 21.

Until then, the Bowie State station will not be wheelchair accessible. Officials are encouraging disabled passengers to use the Seabrook station in the meantime.

Odenton: Health

Center closes for renovations, repairs

The county's Odenton Health Center will be closed until next year for renovations and maintenance.

The health center was closed last week, and its patrons have been referred to the Glen Burnie Health Center, said Elin Jones, spokeswoman for the county Health Department.

Work on the property will include painting, installation of a skylight and repairs to the sidewalk.

The Odenton facility provided HIV testing, HIV/AIDS case management, immunizations, tuberculosis skin tests and child car safety seat checks.
