McDonogh rolls to 7-1 boys soccer win

The third-ranked McDonogh boys soccer team rolled over John Carroll, 7-1, yesterday, in a rain-shortened game that was called after 60 minutes.

Andrew Bulls, Jake Levin and John Ports each scored two goals, as the Eagles (15-5-1, 12-3-1) finished the regular season tied with Loyola for second in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association. McDonogh will host Gilman in the quarterfinals on Friday.

Girls soccer

No. 14 Mount Hebron 2, Wilde Lake 0 -- Jess Glazer and Kathryn Lally each scored a first-half goal as the visiting Vikings (8-3-3) topped the Wildecats to end the regular season. The two teams will play again on Friday in the first round of regional play.

Volleyball

Notre Dame Prep 3, Bryn Mawr 0 -- Brittany Phillips and Grace Carmen each had eight kills to help the host Blazers top the Mawrtians. The win sealed the regular-season B Conference title for Notre Dame Prep, which finished 11-1 in the conference, 15-2 overall.
