Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Robbery try/assault -- A 22-year-old man on crutches was walking with a woman in the 200 block of S. Caroline St. about 1 a.m. Saturday when another man grabbed one of the crutches, began striking him and demanded money. Off-duty Officer Shawn Frey witnessed the incident and arrested William Q. Brown, 41, of the 200 block of N. Fremont St. on charges of assault and attempted robbery.


Burglary -- Someone entered a house in the 1000 block of Bethune Road over the weekend through the front door and stole a DVD player and stereo receiver. The property was valued at nearly $600.


Robbery -- A 31-year-old man was leaving a carryout store in the 1300 block of W. North Ave. about 9 a.m. Saturday when a gunman robbed him of $20, the keys to his 1993 Lexus and the car, which had tags MYS 144.

Burglary -- Someone broke into a vacant house in the 2000 block of N. Dukeland St. over the weekend and removed two large doors.

Baltimore County


Home invasion robbery -- Police were seeking three males, one armed with a handgun, who forced their way into a house in the 900 block of Renfrew St. about 10 p.m. Friday and took video games valued at nearly $300. Police said the robbers were known to a 20-year-old resident of the house.


Burglary -- Tools and a radio - all valued at nearly $500 - were stolen between Oct. 16 and Saturday from a vacant house in the 5600 block of Bell Gwynn Road by someone who entered through a window.
