HOUSTON -- Two sudden bursts of offense and a lot of defense were good enough to give Navy a 41-9 win over Rice yesterday at Rice Stadium.

It was the fourth consecutive victory for Navy, which rushed 44 times for 301 yards in improving to 4-2 for the season. Rice remained winless at 0-6 and has lost 12 consecutive games.
