Tailback Matt Winger rushed for 289 yards on 24 carries, along with four touchdowns, while linebacker Tochi Odocha led the defense with 11 tackles to lead the host Atholton Raiders over the Howard Lions, 28-12, yesterday in football.

"Matt is a very unselfish player, he gives all the credit to his offensive line," Raiders coach Chuck Fales said. "Teams know that when they play us, number three [Winger] is going to get the ball, so far they haven't been able to stop him."

The effort made Winger Atholton's all-time single-season rushing leader with 1,225 yards. Winger set both the single-game as well as the career record for yardage earlier this season.

The Raiders improved to 4-3, while the Lions fell to 3-4.
