SHIRLEY (Anastasia) TRUBEY (nee Horton) of Galloway Township, NJ, passed away on October 18, 2005, after a short illness. She was born in Camden, New Jersey. Shirley moved to Broomall and Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, with her husband to raise her children. In 1970, she returned to New Jersey and worked for Hospital Survey Committee in Philadelphia. In 1980, she moved to the Jersey Shore, living in Mystic Islands and finally, Galloway Township. It was in this area that Shirley greeted you as either a hostess or a server at the Grapevine Restaurant, Smithville Inn, Gilchrist Restaurant in Atlantic City and Seaview Marriott, where she worked until her illness. She always considered her co-workers and guests as her extended family. Shirley was a member of H.E.R.E. Local 54 and served on the Board of her condominium association at Mattix Run, several times being elected as President. Shirley is predeceased by her parents, Frederick L. and Oleata Horton. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia A. Anastasia and her husband, Karl Schurr of Galloway; her daughter, Diann M. Harris and her husband, Gregory C. Harris of Sparks, Maryland; her brother, Wayne Horton and his wife, Elma and her brother, Robert Horton and his wife, Nina. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, three nieces, two nephews and their children. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2005 from 3 to 4 P.M. at Wimberg Funeral Home, 211 E. Great Creek Road, Galloway (609) 641-0001, where a memorial service will be held at 4 P.M. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 626 N.
