The suspect's name was not released. Contaminant found in 6 residential wells

The state environmental agency said yesterday that it was investigating how a chemical compound contaminated drinking-water wells in a Havre de Grace subdivision. Officials detected high levels of the probable carcinogen trichloroethane in six wells on Titan Terrace in the Glenn Estates community. Lower levels were found in several other wells. No source for the contamination has been identified, the Maryland Department of the Environment said.
