McDaniel falls in 3 OTs against Dickinson, 25-22

Matt Stark's 20-yard field goal in the third overtime gave Dickinson College a 25-22 victory over McDaniel yesterday in a Centennial Conference game in Carlisle, Pa.

The Red Devils (2-4, 1-2) defense pushed the Green Terror back to the 29, forcing Jay Leonard's 42-yard field-goal attempt, which sailed wide right to give Dickinson the win.

Leonard tied the game for McDaniel (4-2, 1-2) with a 25-yard field goal as time expired to send the game to overtime.

Bowie State 21, St. Paul's 7 -- Terrence Stafford returned an interception 46 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter to lead the host Bulldogs defense. He also tackled the Tigers' Larry Graham in the end zone for a safety in the second quarter. Bowie State improved to 6-2 overall and 3-2 in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association. Visiting St. Paul's dropped to 3-5 and 2-3.

Salisbury 66, Buffalo State 20 -- Leroy Satchell rushed for 189 yards and came within one touchdown of the Sea Gulls' school record as he scored five times. Salisbury's offense also came close to breaking a school mark, finishing with 627 total yards. The school mark was set in 1988 against Frostburg State when the Gulls had 633 yards of offense. The host Sea Gulls improved to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in the Atlantic Central Football Conference, and the Bengals fell to 1-4 and 0-3.

Frostburg State 23, Thomas More 6 -- The Bobcats scored 23 unanswered second-half points en route to the win over the host Saints (4-2). Shanorm Young had 23 carries for 154 yards and two touchdowns for Frostburg (3-3).
