Kane, Thomas Warren

THOMAS WARREN KANE, 78, of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, passed away October 8, 2005, at his home at Mallory House in Idaho Falls, ID. He was born November 11, 1926, in Wilkes Barre, PA, to John Edwin Kane and Mary A. Phillip Kane. He grew up in Pennsylvania and graduated from Myers High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He was married to the former Nancy Harris and they later divorced. He lived in Baltimore, Maryland, for 50 years and worked as an Engineer for B&O Railroad until his retirement. He also served as a volunteer docent at the National Aquarium in Baltimore. He lived in Amarillo, Texas, for three years before coming to Idaho Falls. He was a member of the St. Charles Borromaeo Church. He served as President of the League of American Wheelmen. He enjoyed photography, bicycle riding, hiking, bird watching, and being a good friend. Surviving are: Son: Thomas William (Deb) Kane of Charlestown, WV; Daughter: Colleen (Bruce) Steege of Idaho Falls, ID; Daughter: Teresa A. (Bob French) Kane of Shelley, ID; Son: John David (Patricia) Kane of Chesapeake, VA; Sister: Clara Kane of Wilkes Barre, PA; nine Grandchildren & one Great-Grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, James, David, Cornealius, Edward, and John Kane. At his request, private family services will be held.
