Cannon Design named Scott R. Thomas associate vice president of the international architectural, engineering and planning firm.

Marshall Craft Associates announced the election of Thomas J. Carlson as a principal of the Baltimore-headquartered architectural and interior design firm.

Peter Fillat Architects appointed Stephanie Mui as marketing coordinator for the Baltimore-based design firm. She will assist in the firm's national and international business development and marketing efforts.

Awards

Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce has named George Ames as its associate of the year.

Banking and finance

SunTrust Bank, Maryland appointed Michael P. Greenberg a senior vice president in the retail division of the regional bank's Baltimore offices.

The Columbia Bank named Alice M. Judd senior vice president of regulatory compliance for the Howard County financial institution. She is responsible for the development, execution and management of the bank's compliance program and establishing monitoring and reporting systems.

Broadcast media

Comcast has selected Beverly Wilhide as director of public affairs for the White Marsh-based cable entertainment provider's Atlantic division. She is responsible for the development and implementation of public affairs strategy and the daily operation of the public affairs department.

Real estate

MacKenzie Management Corp. has named Tabitha Woods a senior property manager for the Towson-based commercial real estate services company. The Harford County resident has responsibility for The Rotunda, its retail and office property near Wyman Park.

Health care

XLHealth announced that Dr. Harry L. Leider, chief medical officer, and T. Alafia Samuels, clinical director of quality and outcomes, have joined the Baltimore disease- management company.
