Game Day

TURNAROUND

Bills WR Eric Moulds had 10 catches and no TDs in his first four games this year. Yesterday, after the Bills switched QBs and started Kelly Holcomb, Moulds had seven catches and his first touchdown in a win over Miami.

WELL-PROTECTED

The Colts went deep into their 18th quarter of the season before allowing the first sack of QB Peyton Manning. Blitzing from the corner, 49ers LB Andre Carter beat Jake Scott to get the season's first takedown of Manning.

GROUNDED BY JETS

Tampa Bay coach Jon Gruden found out why he's got to give rookie RB Carnell Williams a breather once in a while after the Williams-less Bucs couldn't sustain a running game in a 14-12 loss to the Jets. Michael Pittman had just 46 yards on 13 carries.

BUMP AND RUN

While the Ravens had two players ejected for contact with an official in Detroit, Bucs cornerback Ronde Barber was not tossed despite throwing a punch at Jets center Kevin Mawae and hitting umpire Butch Hannah instead. Does the Ravens' reputation precede them?

RUSH REVIVAL

Running behind a revamped (again) offensive line in Green Bay, RB Najeh Davenport averaged better than 4 yards a carry before he hurt an ankle. That doesn't reflect well on the performance of Ahman Green (3.4 season average), who was inactive with a thigh injury.

BRYANT'S BACK

WR Antonio Bryant, dumped by the Cowboys after throwing a jersey at Bill Parcells, has blossomed with the Browns, getting two TD catches in a win over Chicago.
