Pennsylvania National Horse Show

See 1,200 of the world's finest show horses at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show, taking place Thursday through Oct. 22 at the Farm Show Arena in Harrisburg, Pa. Nearly a dozen championships and about $350,000 in prizes will be awarded to riders and their horses. The 10-day event consists of many competitions, with the first four days dedicated to junior riders. There will also be shopping, refreshments, pony rides and an appearance by the Budweiser Clydesdales.

The Farm Show Arena is at Cameron and Maclay streets. Thursday through Oct. 18, ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and children 12 and under. Admission is $15 for adults and $8 for seniors and children Oct. 19-21. Seating should be reserved for Grand Prix Night Oct. 22, and prices for the event range from $20 to $45.
