What now? -- This one is for the hockey fans who have had to endure constant heckling since their sport went AWOL for 15 months. After winning their season opener against the Blue Jackets on Wednesday, the rebuilding Capitals, led by rookie Alexander Ovechkin, stay at home to take on Southeast Division-rival Atlanta in the first of a home-and-home series. The Caps have reduced ticket prices about 12 percent overall, with tickets starting as low as $10.

What now? -- Friday Night Fights is a night of live boxing presented by Boxing Xtreme Fitness. Four to five amateur bouts and four professional bouts, sanctioned by the Maryland Athletic Commission, are featured. Five of the pro boxers on the scheduled fight card are Maryland-based. Tickets are $30 for general admission and $50 for premium ringside seats.

What now? -- This is the 20th anniversary of the event for Maryland-sired horses. The one-day stakes program with a record $1.5 million in purses and awards is topped off by the $250,000 Maryland Million Classic. Olympic champion Michael Phelps will be there to sign autographs in the grandstand. No word yet if he will award a gold medal to the winner of the Classic. What now -- Coming off their first victory of the season last week at Duke, the Mids return home to face Air Force for the first time in Annapolis since 1997. More than 37,000 tickets have been sold for a game at a stadium with a capacity of 34,000. Air Force leads the all-time series, 25-12, but the Mids have won two straight over the Falcons. The game will be on CSTV, but tickets are hard to come by. On eBay, a pair of tickets was listed for $187.50.

What now? -- The second annual Prince George's Classic pits the 1-4 Bears against their Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference rivals (2-3). The Classic is an annual three-day cultural event presented by the Prince George's Black Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster outlets and range from $20 to $50, and $25 to $55 on game day.
