Rachel Ritz to speak at Unity by the Bay

The Rev. Rachel Ritz will be the guest speaker Sunday at Unity by the Bay Church. Ritz is a former pastor of the church, and the musical guest is Lea Morris.

St. Paul's Lutheran to address aging

St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Glen Burnie will hold a "Bless the Years Celebration" on Oct. 15-16, starting with a noon luncheon with a speaker on Saturday.

The celebration is to enhance appreciation for the aging experience.

On Sunday, the three morning services at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. will feature a sermon by the Rev. Paul Dannenfeldt, coordinator of the older adult ministry.

Christ Episcopal sets homecoming dinner

Christ Episcopal Church will hold its 87th annual homecoming dinner from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 15 at its Parish Hall, corner of Owensville Road (Route 255) and Owensville-Sudley Road, West River.

The traditional harvest dinner features country ham, fried oysters, vegetables and homemade desserts. Other activities include a country store, a bake sale and children's activities. Carryout available.

Evangelical speaker at Anchor Baptist

Anchor Baptist Church, 320 W. Pasadena Road in Millersville, will offer a series of evangelistic meetings on life, death and judgment day, led by guest speaker Dr. Mike Duffy, director of development and stewardship at Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Wisconsin.

The meetings will be held at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Oct. 23 and at 7 p.m. Oct 24-26. Nursery care will be provided for children 3 and younger. Information: 410-647-9614 or www.anchor baptistonline.org.

Women's group plans outreach

The Severna Park Aglow Worldwide will hold its October Outreach meeting from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Youth Center, 617 Annapolis Blvd., Severna Park. The guest speaker is Michaela Huber, president of the West Baltimore Lighthouse.

Church offers class weekly on miracles

Unity by the Bay Church is offering an ongoing class, "A Course in Miracles," from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursdays in the UBB Sanctuary. Dennis Kolb will be the facilitator, and the course will run about a year.
