Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Arrest -- Andre Freeland, 28, was arrested last night at his home in the 4400 block of Newport Ave. on a warrant charging him with attempted murder. He is accused of shooting Murray Ray, 25, in the 500 block of Sanford Place on June 12.


Arrest -- Police officers entered a home in the 100 block of Hyden Court in South Baltimore on Wednesday and arrested Marcus Queen, 20, of the 2900 block of Windsor Ave., on a warrant charging him with attempted murder. Queen is accused of shooting Robert Johnson, 21, in the 100 block of Palormo Ave. on Sept. 12.


Shooting -- A 35-year-old man was sitting in a car parked on the lot at Mondawmin Mall about 1 p.m. Wednesday when he became involved in an altercation with the driver and was shot in the left ring finger. The victim was taken to Sinai Hospital by another motorist.


Assault -- A 9-year-old boy walking home from school about 3 p.m. Wednesday was knocked to the ground and beaten and kicked by an older boy in the first block of S. Ellwood Ave. A teacher at a nearby school witnessed the assault and aided the injured boy.

Shooting -- A 19-year-old man was standing in the rear yard of a friend's house in the 3100 block of E. Fairmount Ave. about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday when two men, one with a handgun, approached and demanded money. As he turned to flee, the victim was shot once in the abdomen. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.


Theft -- Power tools valued at $1,700 were stolen Wednesday from a Ford van parked in the 1500 block of Boyle St.

Baltimore County


Robbery -- A cab driver was waiting for a passenger at a house in the 2700 block of Claybrook Drive about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday when a teenage gunman approached from behind the house and robbed him of $50.

White Marsh

Burglary -- Video games and a bicycle - together worth more than $700 - were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 1200 block of Neighbors Ave.


Burglary -- Two cameras, jewelry and coins - all worth $2,619 - were stolen Wednesday from a house in the first block of E. Seminary Ave.


Burglary -- Someone stole a CD changer valued at $450 from a house in the first block of Viewridge Road on Wednesday.
