Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit

Rating: -- G, my gracious yes.

What it's about: -- Daft inventor and his intrepid dog battle voracious veg-eaters in their tiny British town in this stop-motion animated film.

Kid Attractor Factor: -- Slapsticky, with lots of jokes for the budding Anglophile.

Good/bad lessons: -- Let the dog call the shots, don't be so quick to attribute something to the supernatural, and chappies too quick to pull the trigger must have something to hide, what what?

Violence: -- A dogfight to end all dogfights, and a hunter is foiled, time and again, but not without blazing away with his shotgun.

Language: -- No profanity in this corner of Jolly Olde you-know-where.

Sex: -- Whatever for?

Drugs: -- Not bloody likely.

Parents' advisory: -- Kid-friendlier than Corpse Bride, this ditzy farce aims at the inner 9-year-old in us all.

In Her Shoes

Rating: -- PG-13 for thematic material, language and some sexual content.

What it's about: -- Mismatched sisters quarrel and come to terms with their unhappy childhood, all through the help of a grandmother they never knew they had.

Kid Attractor Factor: -- Some funny shtick involving dogs; otherwise, it skews older.

Good/bad lessons: -- Don't date the boss, don't steal from your sister, and don't write off your siblings - they're going to be your kin for as long as you live.

Violence: -- None.

Language: -- Profanity.

Sex: -- A bit.

Drugs: -- Alcohol is abused.

Parents' advisory: -- Pretty tame, but if they're too young to ogle or want to emulate Cameron Diaz, they're probably too young for the movie.
