On October 2, 2005, GEORGE DONALD DUKE, JR., of Mt. Airy, beloved husband of Patty Lue Duke, devoted father of George Donald Duke III, Joan Doreen Holcomb, Patti Lee Messick and the late Michael George Duke, dear father-in-law of Connie Duke, Herman Holcomb and Mark Messick, loving brother of Ruth and Diane Hammond, Joyce Chewing, Betty Mikkelson and Shirley Duke. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel (6416 Sykesville Rd) Sykesville on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 P.M. followed by a funeral service at 7 P.M.
