One driver was killed and another injured in a two-vehicle collision early yesterday in eastern Baltimore County near Gunpowder Falls State Park, county police said.

Shortly after 1 a.m., Jerry Neaves Jr., 43, of the 2000 block of Whiteford Road in Whiteford was driving a 2004 GMC Sierra east on Pulaski Highway near Mohrs Lane when he ran into the rear of a 1991 GMC truck driven by Robert L. Williams, 67, of the 100 block of Ridgelawn Road in Reisterstown.

The impact sent the truck into a curb, where it overturned. Williams, who was partially thrown from the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Neaves was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

The accident was to be reviewed by the state's attorney's office, police said.
