DURHAM, N.C. -- It didn't hurt that the weather was not excessively hot or that opponent Duke controlled the ball for nearly two-thirds of Navy's 28-21 victory yesterday.
Those were clearly positive factors for Navy starting quarterback Lamar Owens, who went the distance and perhaps put to rest 21 days of speculation about whether he would need early relief because of the cramping that had pushed him out of the first two games at critical second-half junctures.
