Pedestrian, 31, killed while crossing Annapolis street

October 02, 2005|By ANNIE LINSKEY

A 31-year-old pedestrian was killed last night when he was struck by two vehicles in Annapolis, police said.

Jose Salvador Martinez was crossing Forest Drive near Bywater Road at 8 p.m. when he was hit by a vehicle that did not stop, police spokesman Kevin D Freeman said. Martinez was then struck by a second vehicle, Freeman said, and that driver called for help. Police did not release the driver's name last night.

Martinez was pronounced dead at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
