Lothian man dies in crash

A 31-year-old Lothian man died after he lost control of his car while going around a curve on Mount Zion Marlboro Road near Lothian on Tuesday evening, police said.

David Keith Alton Jr. was driving south when he lost control of his Chevrolet Corsica, careened into the northbound lane and swerved to miss an oncoming tractor-trailer, police said.

Alton's car hit several telephone poles and flipped, police said. He was pronounced dead on the scene, police said. Police believe speed and alcohol were factors in the accident.
