Towson's Brown honored by Atlantic 10

Towson junior wide receiver Andrae Brown (Milford Mill) has been named Atlantic 10 Football Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his record-breaking performance this past Saturday when he led the Tigers in a rally that fell short in a 56-41 league loss at Northeastern.

The 6-foot, 180-pound. junior, who was converted from quarterback to wide receiver after his freshman year, set Towson and Atlantic 10 single game records by catching five touchdown passes as part of a nine-reception, 222-yard effort. The TD passes went for 8, 71, 30, 60 and 5 yards.

He scored three of his touchdowns in the last 9:58 of the third quarter as the Tigers scored 28 unanswered points to rally from a 41-7 deficit and pull within 41-35. The 222 yards tie for seventh most by a Towson receiver in a game
