Catch an exclusive screening of an archival print of A Streetcar Named Desire tonight at 7:30, and help out victims of Katrina at the same time. Maryland Film Festival director Jed Dietz will give a presentation about the alterations to the film (among other things, a few minutes of footage have been added to the 1951 version), which is screening at the Charles (1711 N. Charles St.). Suggested donation for tickets is $25-$50, and limited tickets for a 6:30 p.m. pre-screening dinner are also available for $100 (or other donation). Proceeds benefit the RedCross, the Salvation Army and the Episcopal Diocese ofWestern Louisiana. For more information, visit afterthestormmd.com.

FYI Kevin Cowherd is taking time off after surgery. His column will resume when he returns.
