Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Homicide arrest -- A man being held at Central Booking and Intake Center in an unrelated crime was charged Tuesday with first-degree murder and a handgun violation. Sean Crim, 33, of the 4400 block of Eldone Road is charged with fatally shooting Curtis Streat, 27, of Laurel in the chest in the 700 block of Grantley St. about 8 p.m. Aug. 14.


Shooting -- An unidentified man was shot in a hand about 7:50 p.m. yesterday in the 2200 block of Ashland Ave. and was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Details of the shooting were not available.

Robbery -- Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a man, 32, of nearly $100 and a cellular phone in the 1000 block of N. Bond St. about 4 a.m. Wednesday.

Stolen vehicle -- A silver 2005 Buick Century with tags LAF 517 was stolen Wednesday in the 600 block of N. Collington Ave.


Theft from vehicle -- Compact discs valued at $100 were stolen Wednesday from a 2004 BMW parked in the rear of a house in the 100 block of E. Fort Ave. by someone who entered by forcing a door. Damage to the door was estimated at $300.

Theft -- A cellular phone valued at $40 was stolen Wednesday from a 1996 Honda Accord parked in the 600 block of S. Fremont Ave.

Burglary -- Tools valued at nearly $2,200 were stolen between Friday and Monday from Berg Brothers Recycling in the 1400 block of W. Hamburg St. by someone who broke through a wall to gain entry.

Burglary -- Someone entered Buy Rite Auto Parts in the 1600 block of Locust St. Monday through the front door after breaking its glass with a brick and stole spray-painting equipment.


Assault -- Several men struck and kicked a 49-year-old man in the 100 block of Ballou Court Tuesday night. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital for serious injuries to his face and arms.

Robbery -- A 51-year-old woman was walking in the 600 block of S. Washington St. about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday when a man stole her purse containing $65 cash and property valued at more than $35.


Drug arrest -- Officer Kawahn Young was in the 1600 block of Vincent Court about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday when he observed a man in possession of several plastic vials of crack cocaine. Arrested and charged with possession of the narcotic was Nathaniel Nealy, 49, of the 1500 block of Woodyear St.

Baltimore County


Theft -- Someone entered the front yard of a house in the 2600 block of Hillcrest Ave. between Tuesday night and Wednesday and stole a lawn mower valued at $130.


Burglary -- Two book bags, a purse and a cellular phone were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 6600 block of Chelwood Road by someone who entered through the front door. Recovered near the house were the book bags and the purse.
