Sally Barkow and her Team 7 crew continued to sail away from the competition at the Rolex International Women's Keelboat Championship regatta in Annapolis yesterday, winning two of three races.

With five wins in eight races overall, Barkow has been so dominant that her throwout was a third-place finish in the first race of the regatta. The 2003 Rolex champion from Nashotah, Wis., holds a comfortable 20-point lead over Cory Sertl, the 2001 Rolex winner from Rochester, N.Y., going into the penultimate day of racing today.

Jody Swanson of Buffalo, R.I., the 1989 winner, is in third place, four points behind Sertl.

On the strength of her wire-to-wire win in the sixth race, Lorie Stout of Annapolis stands in sixth place, the highest-ranked local entry in the 42-boat field. Her crew includes 2004 Olympian Liz Filter of Stevensville.
