Betty Louise Williams, 67, homemaker and angler

Betty Louise Williams, a homemaker and accomplished angler, died of a heart attack Sept. 5 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. The Abingdon resident was 67.

Born and raised Betty Louise Fleming in Baltimore, she was a graduate of Douglass High School. She was married in 1964 to Joseph Williams, a Bethlehem Steel employee who survives her.

Mrs. Williams, who had lived in Dundalk and Edgewood before moving to Abingdon 13 years ago, enjoyed fishing for trout and croakers.

She had been a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and Solid Rock Baptist Church, where she had been a member of the usher board and helped prepare church suppers and meals for the needy.

Services were Saturday.

Also surviving are two sons, Joseph Williams Jr. and Jeffrey Williams, both of Baltimore; four daughters, Amy Fleming, Elgletha Hardy, Marlo Williams and Marcelinea Cohn, all of Baltimore; and six grandchildren.
