On August 18, 2005, ELEANOR MARY, beloved aunt of Susan Shapess of Cato, NY, and cousin of Marilyn Mc Donald of Marian, OH. Eleanor was born October 18, 1917 near Syracuse, NY. She graduated from Cornell University in 1942 and earned her Master's degree in Library Science from Syracuse University in 1949. During WWII she served in the WAVES earning the rank of Lieutenant jg. Eleanor came to Baltimore in the late 1950's to work in the Health Science Library at University of Maryland where she worked until her retirement in 1982. Known for her cheerful demeanor, she stayed active in bowling leagues in Towson and as a member and regular volunteer at Second Presbyterian Church. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of Second Presbyterian Church, 4200 St. Paul St., Baltimore, MD 21218 on September 15 at 11 A.M. A reception will follow. Please omit flowers; contributions may be made to Second Presbyterian Church.
